Hi Tomek,

k-Wave uses a different type of model to simulate wave propagation in the time domain (the paper you mention is based on the modal decomposition of a cuboid room). I'm not sure if it's implemented anywhere else, unfortunately.

Brad.

Hello All!

I've found great paper by Trevor Cox "Determining Optimum Room Dimensions for Critical Listening Environments: A New Methodology". He used image source model to search for optimal room dimensions, is the formula implemented in K-Wave or anywhere else in Matlab or other code? I'd like to use the formula (no 15 in the paper) to calculate more dense grid and rooms with lower ceiling (2.5-4m).

Is there any other model, preferably which allows to set position of source of sound and mic for predicted frequency response of room?

Kind regards,
Tomek
