Hello Brad,

Sorry for replying late to your message, if we shuffle the positions of the transducer elements randomly then how to beamform the images if we don't know their exact position

Is it a grating lobe? If so, there's not much you can do other than reducing the kerf or by shuffling the positions of the elements to be (pseudo) random to break the symmetry.

Hello Brad,

I solved this issue, by decreasing my kerf spacing. However, I have one more issue coming. I am emitting a compressional wave at an angle greater than the first critical angle from water into steel. But when I am doing this thing compressional wave in water from transducer is followed by another compressional wave (kind of artefacts) which disturbs my beamforming. It is happening only for pitch greater than 0.3 mm. I am using frequency of 4 MHz.

Hi Shreyank,

What do you mean by cross-talk, that you can see the signal from the other sources in the sensor data? What is the maximum supported frequency of the grid, and how does the bandwidth of your source align with that?

Brad.

Hello, k-wave community,

I am trying to simulate transducer, and when I am emitting a 3 cycles pulse length I am getting a cross-talk between elements, however, when I do with 5 cycles I don't get that. But when I reduce by kerf to almost 0 I don't get any cross-talk using 3 cycles. The simulations are being done at 4 MHz.

Any reasons why it is happening?

Thanks for your time,
Shreyank
