Hi Kaiming,

The number of time steps and their spacing is set by
kgrid.t_array
, which is set to
'auto'
by default. In this case, k-Wave tries to choose something sensible based on your inputs. However, it is straight forward to set your own values - see section 3.2 in the k-Wave manual for more details.

For perfectly reflecting boundaries (sound soft or sound hard), there are a few ways you might enforce a boundary as discussed in this post.

Brad.

hi,

I'm doing some research on photoacoustic, and I need to set a boundary in my project. I want to know whether change medium properties like sound speed or density is the only way to simulate this kind of problem. There is one problem when I use this method, when I set a very low sound speed like (100m/s) the program has to run about five minutes to give out the result and I only need the first 10 seconds data. So, if there is any way to cease the simulation before it end or set simulate time?

Thanks for developing such a useful toolbox! XD
