Hi Srinath,
for the production version of both elastic and fluid codes we would like to use the same file format. We're now finishing the specification of what the file structure should look like to support even heat code, new sources, sensors, etc.

This however means, we'll need some time to implement the features.
Cheers
Jiri

Hi Brad et al,

I would be happy too in help out with alpha testing of CUDA and C++ version of pstdElastic2d/3d codes.

Cheers

Hi Brad et al,

Just wanted to put my hand up for another one who would love to help out with the alpha testing of a cuda or c++ version of pstdElastic3d.

Cheers,

Bradley, when do you expect to have the CUDA version of pstdElastic? Do you need any alpha testers?

Dear Brad,

This sounds great, thank you for the heads up! The MPI version of the fluid code might actually also be very interesting for a specific simulation problem we'd like to address next year, so this is great news as well.

All the best for the residual year, and stay healthy!

Hi Wolfgang,

We have working alphas of both C++ and CUDA codes. They are close to the being ready, but there's a few issues we need to iron out first.

On the C++ side, we plan to release the MPI version of the fluid code (including singularity containers for deployment) early in the new year, then the elastic codes will follow sometime after that.

Brad.

Dear k-Wave team,

First, thank you for the great work creating and maintaining k-Wave! The toolbox has been highly useful for me in several projects throughout the last few years.

Currently, I am working on a problem which requires 3d simulations of elastic wave propagation in a not strictly layered geometry. Since this is time consuming, I would like to do the crunching on a more powerful machine, possibly making use of its GPU. Sadly, I don't have Matlab access on this machine.

So far, there seems to be neither a C++ version of pstdElastic, nor, consequently, a CUDA one.

Is there any chance one of those will arrive within the near future?

Thanks, and kind regards!

Wolfgang
