k-Wave use staggered grid in both space and time.
May be that causes those little delay.
For time varying source, did you compared 'dirichlet' mode?

In addition， the comparison when using initial pressure distribution is similar, the difference is more like a numerical error. However, when I use time varying pressure source, the result of kwave is even largerer, usually dozens of times of my own result. So I think there must be some kind of coefficient missing for my result. Any idea what could that be?

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for sharing this amazing toolbox.

Recently I am writing my own 2D FDTD code. It's still in an early stage, so the code is very simple. I tested a simple case with my code and k-wave. I used the same initial pressure distribution for both codes. I controlled the simulation time so that the wave won't reach the boundary since my code doesn't support PML right now. The two results are very close but not exactly the same. The magnitude of the k-wave result tends to be larger and the whole result seems to be a little delayed comparing to my result. The grid and time spacing I chose should be fine for this simulation.

In my opinion, even my code is very simple, they should handle these simple cases. I guess I am wrong. So I want to ask where my problem might be.

Thanks
