Do you have some knowledge of how the radiative process you're considering generates acoustic energy and the time scales involved? You have the option to model initial-value problems (set
source.p0
) or time varying source problems (set
source.p_mask
and
source.p
). There's lots of examples how to set up these included in the toolbox.

Hello all,

I am trying to simulate the acoustics of radiative processes and am planning to use a custom source that was modeled in a Monte Carlo simulation. I have trouble importing that distribution into k-wave, and am basing my simulations based on the kspace geometry of my acoustic simulation (64x64x64 voxels in Monte Carlo simulation to 64x64x64 kgrid space, for example). Is there a specific way to do this?

Thank you very much in advance!
