Hi all

I am doing some research on beam forming of different types of arrays like linear, planar, circular, cylindrical etc. One thing i notice in sonar cylindrical arrays is that each vertical stave (having multiple sensors) in a cylindrical array is placed with different height as compared to adjacent staves.

Can any one kindly put some light on this matter?

Thanks
