&#60;p&#62;Just to be clear, k-Wave doesn't model the optical part of the problem. However, if you want to model a cylindrical shaped initial pressure source, you could use a combination of &#60;code&#62;makeDisc&#60;/code&#62; and &#60;code&#62;repmat&#60;/code&#62;. For example,&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;pre&#62;&#60;code&#62;cyl = repmat(makeDisc(32, 32, 16, 16, 5), [1, 1, 32]);

&#60;p&#62;I have been trying to simulate acoustic field in PA cell. In order to get the simulations, I need to define source element as a cylindrical source(laser beam approximation) in 3D. Can you tell me how to define the source mask in order to get the laser beam as a cylindrical source. &#60;/p&#62;
