Hi Muh,

Are you generating plane waves in your container? If so, then you don't need to run a simulation to calculate the attenuation from your pulse-echo measurements. If you know the material properties of the container, you can calculate the reflection coefficient at the fluid / solid interface, and thus derive an expression for the attenuation within the fluid.

Brad.

HiBrad; Actually I'm new user for K-wave, I'm electronic designer, and I have to simulate container filled with liquid injected by ultrasonic waves 4MHz in Pitch-Catch method,I'll be most gratefully if you kindly guide to do that simulation.

Hi Hussain,

k-Wave allows the user to specify a detector using either a binary sensor mask or a collection of Cartesian coordinates (work through the Initial Value Problem Examples if you need more explanation). You can combine the returned time varying signals at each sensor point in any way that you wish. For example, you could

(1) Use each sensor point as a separate point detector as in this example,

(2) Combine the sensor points together in particular clusters as in this example.

There are also a lot of other possibilities. It's really up to you to decide how you would like to combine and process the output signals.

Kind regards,

Brad.

Is there any possibility of using 2 detectors instead of one? Could you please give me some example to that?

Thanks and regards,
