Hi elhassan,

If you are talking about the time average intensity over an acoustic period, there shouldn't be a dependence on frequency for time harmonic simulations. Is your source a continuous wave? If so, make sure to either (1) set the time step to be an integer number of points per period, and record only an integer number of periods, or (2) record for a very long time.

Brad.

I am simulating s a time varying particle velocity source and adding a sensor to record the ‘I’ (time varying acoustic intensity), the ‘I_avg’ (average acoustic intensity), the ‘p’ (acoustic pressure), and the ‘p_max’ (maximum pressure). I run the simulation in loops with each having same input intensity but increasing frequency. Why does the intensity/pressure recorded decrease as the frequency increase? Aren't frequency and intensity directly proportional?
