&#60;p&#62;All simulations in k-Wave are performed using regularly-spaced rectangular grids. This allows the use of the FFT to calculate spatial gradients. You can run simulations in an axisymmetric coordinate system using &#60;code&#62;kspaceFirstOrderAS&#60;/code&#62;, but the x/r coordinates are still on a rectangular mesh.&#60;/p&#62;
