Dear Bradley，

Thank you a lot. Now the rectangular wave is Ok.

Hi Hui,

You do not need to use a k-Wave function to create the input signal (it can be anything). You could try looking at the MATLAB function
square
.

Brad.

Dear Dr. Treeby and Dr. Cox:

I want to produce periodic rectangular wave to simulate the ionoacoustic propagation of the scanning proton pencil irradiation.
I plan to build up based on the example_us_defining_transducer.m. However, I found all the ‘us’ examples are only based on the toneBurst class to produce the periodic input_signal. The input signal is Sinusoidal.
Now my questions are:
Whether there are other classes I can use to produce the periodic rectangular wave, even triangular wave? If there is only toneBurst class, how I can obtain the needed wave?
And how I simulate the different Duty cycles of rectangular wave? i.e. different signal time and its interval time?
Thank your reply in advance.

Hui
