&#60;p&#62;If you just want to add speckle noise to your image (to make something that looks a bit like an ultrasound image), the k-Wave toolbox might not be the best choice. To create an ultrasound image using k-Wave, you need a 3D map of the acoustic properties in the medium. The image is then formed by modelling the process followed by a diagnostic ultrasound machine. If you are just trying to load your image into MATLAB, then the &#60;code&#62;loadImage&#60;/code&#62; function might help as mentioned above.&#60;/p&#62;
