Hello, this is hyeongyu.

I am using K-wave to declare source masks and am using the simulation well.

Thank you for creating such a great program.

However, I have a question, so I decided to post on this forum.

When I look at the KspaceFirstOrder3DG function, which is the function I use most often, the output is pressure.

I tried two different experiments.

First, I implemented a flat-circle aperture with the same size as the source mask.

Second, I implemented a concave circle aperture with the same size as the source mask.

The source used the same-amplitude sine wave.

I applied a time delay to focus the waves at the same location, but the intensity at the focused point was weaker with the concave aperture.

I had expected that the concave transducer would show stronger intensity due to directivity, but the results are different. What could be causing this?
