Hi Jorge,

I'm not sure I follow your question. Are you using the same source? The polarity of the reflections will change if you're going from a high to low impedance material, but this is expected, acoustically.

To increase the maximum frequency supported on the grid, you need to decrease the grid spacing.

Brad.

Hi,
I am trying to make a 1D simulation of a broadband pulse (photoacoustic) passing through a heterogeneous layer. I have realized that my layers are flipped: water coupling is the last layer (should be first) and backing substrate is the first (should be last). If I use 'flip' command to 'medium.sound_speed' and 'medium.density' the simulation passes through the layers in the same order but the wave that is experiencing reflections is the positive solution of the wave equation (before 'flip' it was the negative solution). How can I determine which solution/first reflection layer to use?

Secondly, is there any special command to simulate a broadband Gaussian pulse in 1D? I am only getting up to 5MHz, I would like to get >20MHz.

Thank you!
Jorge
