If you are using an additive source (the default setting for source.p_mode), then the source will be transparent (it won’t affect the wave propagation).

Hello,

I am trying to simulate a Focused Ultrasound therapeutic procedure with a moving transducer. I am doing this by creating multiple bowl transducer objects (by following the related example), one for each position assumed by the physical transducer, and sending an Ultrasound pulse from each one with a time delay between each. To reiterate, there are not multiple transducers, but each source in the simulation represents a different Ultrasound generation from a single transducer at different moments in time.

My question is, are passive sources 'transparent' to the signal emitted from an active one? If I have virtual source A emitting waves that pass through virtual (inactive) source B, does this alter the wave propagation? Or does it only depend on the underlying medium properties? Is there a simpler way to do this?
