&#60;p&#62;The UBP formula assumes your detectors are omni-directional and lying on a spherical, cylindrical or planar surface. As you have focussed detectors you will probably do better if you use a reconstruction algorithm that incorporates the directional sensitivity of the detectors.&#60;/p&#62;

&#60;p&#62;Can we use directly use the universal back-projection (UBP) algorithm for photo-acoustic (PA) reconstruction using PA forward data generated from focused transducer array? Or, I would need to make certain corrections to the algorithm/data ? &#60;/p&#62;
