Hai Ben,

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply. What i actually meant by the interaction of PAT signal between the object and detector is i wanted to see signal coming from the object.

As suggested by you i shall start working on example you have mentioned.

Thanks a lot once again

Hi ranzakhuss,

The Simulations In Three Dimensions Example would be a good place to start for modelling photoacoustics in 3D (you'll need to change it from a heterogeneous medium to a homogeneous one). Although if I were you I would try some of the 2D examples first to get the hang of how k-Wave works.

I'm not sure what you mean by "the interactions of the PAT signal between the object and detector".

Hope you can get it doing what you want soon.

Ben

Hai,

I recently started using the K-wave toolbox for my project. I am not very familiar with the tool box and just started with the examples. In my project i have an 3D object in a homogenous medium. When the object absorbs light, it generates photoacoustics waves and i have a detector at the end of the medium. I need to use the toolbox to find the acoustics signal that comes out of the object. It would be really helpful if you could suggest me an idea as to how to find the signal generated from the object and the interactions of the PAT signal between the object and detector.

Thanks a lot
