Ok - I'll generate an issue. I can't promise when it will be done though!

Are you also using
medium.alpha_filter
?

Hi Brad,

Yes this would be really nice to have. The 3D simulation I am currently running takes much longer with the Maltlab solver. And since I am using
medium.alpha_sign
I cannot use the C++ code. I do not need the support for
medium.alpha_mode
.

Best,
Frank

Hi Frank,

It's not currently on the list - is it something that you need?

Brad.

Hi Brad,

Are you planning to include
medium.alpha_mode
and
medium.alpha_sign
in the C++ code?

Best,

Hi Subhajit,

We have a pretty large test suite to make sure the output from the MATLAB code and C++ code are the same, although there are a few options (e.g.,
medium.alpha_mode
) that are not supported by the C++ code. Do you generate the input file using the
'SaveToDisk'
option of
kspaceFirstOrder3D
?

Hi,
I was comparing the photoacoustic pressure waves computed by matalb and c++ binary(...-OMP.exe) under identical geometry and other conditions. The waveforms look almost similar except
1) the amplitude of the one computed by Matlab is 1.341 times of the other one
2)-OMP.exe computed waveform is little noisy.

Grid: 128x128x128, Nt: 936, dt:1.818 ns, dx=dy=dz:10um. Medium: Heterogeneous, Max speed: 1540m/s

I followed the example file in k-wave to prepare the hdf5 input file.

It would be of great help if the forum members kindly extend suggestions/comment son the observed difference.
Regards,

- Subhajit
