Hi gj,

The earliest MATLAB version we have tested k-Wave with is 2007a (7.4), although you will need to make some changes to the code as mentioned under troubleshooting. That's not to say it won't work with earlier versions, just that we haven't tested it.

However, if you have access to later MATLAB versions, I'd recommend at least 2008a (7.6). If you want to use the C++ code, you'll need 2011a (7.12) or later. If you want to use the GPU via the parallel computing toolbox, you'll need 2012a (7.14) or later.

Brad.

Hi Brad

I have encounter the same problem as KJ faced before. And I just found the "Supplemental Software" right above the "PDF Documentation" at the very bottom of the "help" window. So thanks for your answer.

Lee.

Hi KJ,

To double check whether it is a problem with installation or making the help files appear, what happens if you type
getkWavePath
at the command prompt?

In 2013a, the documentation is normally found by first clicking on the light blue question mark icon on the ribbon bar of the home menu (not the drop down list). In the window that appears, "Supplemental Software" should then be written in a grey box in the lower left corner.

Brad.

Hello Brad,

i have Matlab r2013a installed on Windows 8.1, like luke i have installed the k-wave toolbox but it does not appear in the help files. I have tried all of the above, only in 2013 edition there is no supplementary software option in help and under Preferences > Help, k-wave was not on this list.

Any ideas to solve the problem?
KJ

Hi Luke,

In R2012b the process for finding the k-Wave documentation has changed slightly. If you select "Help" from the ribbon bar, and then click on "Supplemental Software" you should be able to find it. Let me know if that doesn't work.

Brad.

Hello,

I have installed the k-wave toolbox, however it is not appearing in the help menu.
I have reviewed the previous forum posts on this problem. I have followed all the suggestions, including reinstalling, installing using a startup.m, installing using the pathtool function ,i.e, set path. I have also examined under File > Preferences > Help, k-wave was not on this list.

I have tested some examples and they have worked.
I am running matlab r1202b (8.0.0.783), with the latest version of the k-wave toolbox.

Regards,
Luke
