Hi Stefano,

Unfortunately it's not on the road map at the moment, no. However, if it's directivity that arises from spatial averaging, you could implement the same effect by using a finite sized detector, e.g., using kWaveArray.

Hi Bradley,
there are no chances to see in the future the possibility of setting the pattern of the sensors also in the accelerated version of the tool?

Stefano

Hi docstep,

Yes that's correct. It's an open issue to give the user a warning when calling the C++ codes with unsupported options. Hopefully we can resolve this for the next release.

Hello everyone,
I found than the problem could be related to the fact that simulation with the accelerated version (kspaceFirstOrder2DC or kspaceFirstOrder2DG) does not support additional inputs parameters (like the sensor directivity angle and size), should someone confirm that?

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to simulate the US propagation with a ring of sensors (one tx and several rx) in 2D heterogeneous scenario, all the transducers have the same pattern and I'm following the "Sensor Element Directivity In 2D Example" and "Simulating Transducer Field Patterns Example"; regarding the tx I can simulate easily the correct pattern but, the directivity of the receivers seems to be no effect in the simulations (I tried with different directivity angles and size), someone can help me?
