Hi frli8848, No it's not assumed to have any particular material properties. It will take those from the settings in
medium
.
Best wishes
Ben

I see these parameters in the kWaveTransducer settings:

kgrid
settings:

number_elements
element_width
element_length
element_spacing
position
radius
input_signal
active_elements
beamforming_delay_offset
elevation_focus_distance
focus_distance
receive_apodization
sound_speed
steering_angle
transmit_apodization

and nothing seems related to the acoustic impedence of the sensor!?

Hi All,

Is it possible to simulate matching layers in front of the transducers with k-Wave?

I am looking at the k-Wave examples and code but could not find any info. For example, how do one set the acoustic impedance of the sensor array? Is it assumed PZT?

Regards,

/Fredrik
