Hi AI,

There is no particular difficulty in simulating transducer of any scale, provided the grid is resized appropriately. If you want to simulate smaller transducers / high frequencies and large domain sizes, you may find the simulations become computationally expensive (definitely use the C++ code in this case).

Brad.

Hi all,

I had a quick questions regarding the possibility of simulating small transducers in k-Wave, both traditional piezo based or cMUT. For example, what considerations should I be aware of if I were interested in modeling an IVUS probe or and ICE/TEE probe that has a small array of transducers? Is this even possible with k-Wave?

I haven't seen any publications with k-Wave for these styles of ultrasound probes. Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Al
