&#60;p&#62;The sensor mask can be given either as a binary matrix that specifies which grid points record the data (such as a focused 3D detector), or as a set of Cartesian coordinates. If you follow the first few &#60;a href=&#34;http://www.k-wave.org/documentation/k-wave_initial_value_problems.php&#34;&#62;initial value problem examples&#60;/a&#62; you should get the idea (look at the &#60;a href=&#34;http://www.k-wave.org/documentation/example_ivp_binary_sensor_mask.php&#34;&#62;Using a Binary Sensor Mask Example&#60;/a&#62; in particular). Simulations in 3D are a simple extension of 2D. &#60;/p&#62;

&#60;p&#62;I was working on the example simulations in 3D. In your example you have implemented the sensor mask to be in Cartesian mask. Is it possible for to use a focused 3D detector instead of Cartesian mask. My initial pressure source is not going to be a time varying signal. I would like to use the filled balls as my source. Could you please guide me with this.&#60;/p&#62;
