Hi Alina,

If you pick two points at distances r0 and r from the point source, then the acoustic pressures should follow the relationship you mention (spherical spreading). Do you see something different?

Best wishes
Ben

Dear all,

I am working with point sources and was wondering what is the logic behind them. My source is omnidirectional, so I use source.p to define the emitted pressure. But how kWave interprets the r0, distance from the source at which the input pressure was estimated? Is it the grid size?

In my derivations the propagating spherical wave follows the equation p(r) = p(r0 )r0/r exp(iwt-ikr).

Thank you,
Alina
