Hi antonialongo1,

If you use a binary sensor mask, the sensor data is returned in columnwise order (see the manual if you need more details). Unfortunately there is no equivalent to
reorderSensorData
in 3D. One option would be to switch to using a Cartesian sensor mask. In this case the data will be returned in the same order as you specify the points.

Brad.

I figured out the problem.
The reorder of the sensor data for 3D simulation is wrong.
I noticed that there is the function 'reorderSensorData' for 2D simulation. Is there something equivalent for 3D?

Thank you

I am new with k_wave and I am using it to model photoacoustic signal.
I am simulating a 3D transducer geometry (N transducers cylindrically focused, angular coverage of 270° and certain radius)
As preliminary test, I am using a sphere as source p0.
I have this problem:
When I place the sphere at the center of the 3D transducer geometry, the sensor_data is consistent with my source (i.e. two rows corresponding to the optoacoustic signal of a sphere).
When I place the sphere 3 mm far from the center of the 3D transducer, the row signal of some transducers seems to contain signal related to two spheres and not to one (as I am simulating).

Thanks in advance!
