According to Kinsler's Fundamentals of Acoustics, 4th ed, page 218, the acoustic &#60;em&#62;absorption&#60;/em&#62; of pure water should be around &#60;code&#62;0.00217 f^2&#60;/code&#62; [dB/cm], with the wave frequency &#60;code&#62;f&#60;/code&#62; given in MHz. The attenuation coefficient should be close to that, given the nature of water. I would think the values you indicated are pretty good.

&#60;p&#62;I'm simulating the ultrasound propogation in water using a broadband transducer. But I'm still not sure about the attenuation value after searching some papers. Could anyone help provide a reference about it?&#60;br /&#62;
I set the two values as below, but I'm not sure.&#60;br /&#62;
medium.alpha_coeff = 0.002;  % [dB/(MHz^y cm)]&#60;br /&#62;
medium.alpha_power = 2;&#60;/p&#62;
