&#60;p&#62;There are two kinds of reconstruction algorithms very common in literature for photoacoustic tomography.&#60;br /&#62;
1) Time-domain reconstruction algorithms (such as backprojection and time reversal)&#60;br /&#62;
2) Frequency-domain photoacoustic equation (Helmholtz equation) (model-) based reconstruction algorithm using finite elements.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Please tell me about advantages and disadvantages of both these approaches.&#60;/p&#62;
