Hi Igor,

k-Wave is a general full-wave acoustic solver. You can find lots of information about it's capabilities in the user manual and the examples included in the toolbox. (2) and (3) are certainly possible. (1) might be possible depending on your assumptions. In general, the medium definition in k-Wave is static. However, it might be possible to move the source to achieve the same effect (see the Doppler example included in the toolbox).

If you are interested in the simulation of B-mode images, you might be better with image simulators such as CREANUIS.

Hope that helps,

Brad.

Dear all

I am studying the quality of underwater acoustic Doppler measurements. I am novice to this subject and need a piece of advice.
1)	Is it possible to simulate with the K-Wave Doppler echo time series from a cloud of moving particles for a particular ultrasonic transducer?
2)	Is it possible to vary pulse/echo duration? Type of pulse (coded) ?
3)	Is it possible to simulate an echo if an obstacle is placed in front of transducer (simulation of marine fouling :)).

If not can you suggest me other packages capable to solve those problems? Any suggestions are welcomed!

Thanks in advance

Regards,
Igor
