   Hi,
   I am new to this fine toolbox. I have a question in regards to defining source. In the example 'Defining An Ultrasound Transducer' an array of transducers fed with a tone burst have been created. In my case I want to define two single element piston transducers at different frequency transmitting in the same medium. Can I use the makedisc as piston transducer source? Secondly how can I define two sources with different frequencies transmitting in the same medium?

   Hi Arslan,

   It's probably a good idea to start with some of the "Initial Value Problems" and "Time Varying Source Problems" examples to see how the input structures in k-Wave are defined and used. You could certainly use the makeDisc function to define two different circular transducers within particular planes in 3D space, and then assign this to source.p_mask. After this, you could create two different time series at the two frequencies you require, and then assign the first to all the indices in source.p (indexed as (pos, time)) that correspond to the grid points that belong to the first transducer, and assign the second to all the indices that correspond to the grid points that belong to the second transducer.

   Hi Brad,

   Thankyou for your very useful advise. I have another enquiry; How can I add inhomgeniety in a homgeneous medium? Should I use two kgrid structure (e.g. kgrid1 and kgrid2 and kgrid2 positioned inside the kgrid1) or I have to do the changes in makegrid function.
   Your suggestion will highly appreciated.

   Hi Arslan,

   The toolbox comes with a number of worked examples that should help you with your query. When you have MATLAB open, click on the blue question mark icon to open the help browser and then select k-Wave from the contents list. In particular, take a look at the Initial Value Problems / Heterogeneous Propagation Medium example.
