k-Wave is obviously developed with medical ultrasound/PA in mind and I'm wondering if there are any simplifying assumption that might make it not work when simulating propagation through air. Nothing I've read seems to indicate that, however, I have had issues when adding nonlinearities to a simulation. Without BonA, the k-Wave on-axis pressure curve (of the fundamental) matches will with a simulation run using KZK. Once I add in nonlinearities via BonA = 0.4, the fall off from when the pressure hits its peak becomes very rapid. The near-field still matches well.
