I was wondering to know whether we are able to define a phantom and then generate both the ultrasound and photoacoustic images from the acquired data?

Hi Moein0114,
In principle, yes, in the sense you can use the same acoustic medium properties for both simulations. Keep in mind, that in k-Wave you directly set the initial pressure distribution for the photoacoustic simulation, and this isn't coupled with the definition of the medium.
