   Hello

   Please could you tell me how to simulate the following parameters for a curved ultrasound transducer:
   "The ultrasound transducer used is a custom designed single-element focused transducer (Blatek, Inc., State College, PA) having a center frequency of 0.5 MHz, a diameter of 30 mm, and a focal length of 30 mm."
   (Reference: http://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/1741-2560/13/5/056002/meta#jneaa3149s2)

   I tried using the "Simulating the transducer field patterns" example related to the k-wave toolbox but makeArc or makeBowl functions requires an input of a focus point rather than the focal length.

   Hi Archana,

   The radius input of the makeBowl function is equivalent to the focal length. The focus_pos input doesn't change the shape of the bowl, just the direction that it is pointing in the grid. The same holds for makeArc.

   Hi,

   I am currently working on my bachelor thesis on focused ultrasound. Now I take the example "defining transducer" with the "Transducer-class" as a basis, the problem is that I cannot change the radius. Now I wanted to ask how and whether I can rewrite the "Transducer class" in such a way that I can change the radius and simulate a curved transducer with the kwave transducer class.
