   hello friends,
   i am trying to simulate ultrasound in aluminum using focused probe.
   i wanted to know that is it possible to include elastic properties of material using k-wave toolbox.
   because if it is not included shear wave will not be visualized ....

   plzzz help

   Hi,

   The current version of k-Wave includes only compressional waves and not shear waves, as it treats the medium as a fluid. If shear waves are important for your application then k-Wave is probably not what you want.

   You could try the Elastodynamics Toolbox (EDT): http://bwk.kuleuven.be/bwm/edt. It certainly models shear propagation, but I haven't used it much so I don't know if it would suit your application.

   hii ben,
   EDT seems to be somewhat useful to me.. actually i have downloaded the setup 4 days back and requested for trial license, but i didnt received it yet..
   if you have the trial key plzzzzz post it
