   Hi!

   I'm trying to model the radiation of sound produced by the movement of a surface within a fluid medium when this movement is non-harmonic, non-periodic and non-uniform over the surface.

   I've been reading the documentation and the forum trying to understand whether k-Wave would be able to help me simulate this, but I'm not sure how to apply this boundary condition on the surface.

   I've seen on another post that I could tinker with the simulation functions to set the normal velocity at the surface to the needed values, but I'm not sure this would work.

   Would anyone have any idea about how I could go about this?

   Hi ccueto,

   The most straightforward way is use a time varying source (e.g., velocity source). You can define the radiating surface as a complete plane, and then specify the velocity at each voxel using source.ux etc. If you want to apply this as a boundary condition, set source.u_mode = 'dirichlet'. There is some more information on how to use time varying sources in the k-Wave manual and the examples included in the toolbox (accessible via the MATLAB help browser).
