   Hi,

   I am new to this toolbox. I have gone through the user manual and some examples.

   Now I want to model the ultrasonic transmission through aluminium plates perforated with holes (water or air) to do the NTD simulation. I am wondering whether I can use this toolbox for my simulation.

   Hi Jlhu,

   The current version of k-Wave only includes a fluid model. To model sound waves in a solid, you will need an elastic model that accounts for both compressional and shear waves. We are planning on releasing a beta version of an elastic code with the next k-Wave release. In the meantime, you could take a look at some of the software packages listed here, in particular, simsonic.

   The current plan for the V1.1 release is sometime in December.
