   Hello,

   I have been trying to simulate acoustic field in PA cell. In order to get the simulations, I need to define source element as a cylindrical source(laser beam approximation) in 3D. Can you tell me how to define the source mask in order to get the laser beam as a cylindrical source.

   Hi Ansrcha,

   Just to be clear, k-Wave doesn't model the optical part of the problem. However, if you want to model a cylindrical shaped initial pressure source, you could use a combination of makeDisc and repmat. For example,

   cyl = repmat(makeDisc(32, 32, 16, 16, 5), [1, 1, 32]);
   voxelPlot(cyl);
