   Hi, k-Wave group

   You guys really did an awesome job developing this toolbox.

   I'm new to k-wave and would like to know whether if I can apply it in modeling elastic wave (pressure wave & shear wave) propagating in solid material. Based on k-wave user manual v.1.1, it seems that only pressure wave (in fluid/tissue) is modeled in this toolbox. However, I've read Bradley's 2014 paper titled "Modelling elastic wave propagation using the k-Wave MATLAB Toolbox", which implies that Elastic Wave (pressure+shear) can be modeled in any medium.

   So .... can I apply k-wave in modeling elastic wave (pressure wave & shear wave) propagating in lossy solid material? And with which function and what setting?

   Hi James !

   Have you really read the article named "Modelling elastic wave propagation using the k-Wave MATLAB Toolbox" (http://www.k-wave.org/papers/2014-Treeby-IEEEIUS.pdf) ? There is all the things you need in this article. You have just to use the functions called "pstdElastic2D" or "pstdElastic3D" with the 4 classical input structures (kgrid, medium, source and sensor). Please read the manual and the article to well set parameters of these structures.
