   Can I apply the anisotropic absorbing boundary layer or a perfectly matched layer (PML) from acoustic simulation to thermal simulation ?

   If I cannot use PML in thermal simulation, could you suggest me how to fix the heat come out from edge to the other edge?

   Hi Kittiphot_Songkaitiwong,

   By default, the thermal simulation uses a periodic boundary condition. It's also possible to use discrete trigonometric transforms (DTTs) in place of fast Fourier transforms (FFTs) to give perfectly conducting and perfectly insulating boundary conditions. These options are built into the code, but need some additional compiled MEX codes. Send me an email if you want to try them out and I'll send them to you.

   Hi Brad,

   I'd also like to give the perfectly conducting/insulating boundary conditions for thermal simulations a go.

   Could you please send me the relevant MEX files too?
